Hi! My name is Theresa Smith and I am the owner and teacher at Dream Catchers Academy. Before starting this program I was teaching First Grade. I also taught six years as an elementary school Physical Education teacher. I have over 20 years experience working with students from Preschool to 8th grade. I have a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies, as well as a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University.

The last 20 years my life has been centered around children in various ways. I have taught in the classroom, taught PE, lead camps, tutored, and coached a variety of sports. Children at this age are very active and learn in physical ways. They are growing in the number of words they know, and their ability to communicate with those around them. With my background in Physical Education, I will incorporate movement in our daily learning.

I have a 17 year old daughter who loves animals, photography/videography, and baking. She has been my inspiration, and we are both excited for this upcoming year!
